Divyam Bhardwaj

About

I'm a computer science student who builds products. Not prototypes, not demos — products that people use. I care about the entire stack: from database schema to deployment pipeline to the spacing between a heading and its body text.

I'm drawn to problems where engineering quality directly affects user experience. Streaming a response instead of showing a spinner. Designing an API that's intuitive without documentation. Choosing the right database for the access pattern, not the trend.

I'm looking for internship opportunities where I can build software that matters, with engineers who care about craft.

How I Think

Product Thinking

Before writing code, I try to understand the real problem. I enjoy building products that simplify everyday experiences, whether that's reducing queues inside a university canteen or helping recruiters compare technical candidates more efficiently. Technology should always serve a purpose.

Architecture

As my projects have grown, I've learned that maintainability matters just as much as shipping features. I prefer modular architectures, reusable components, and clear separation of responsibilities so applications remain easy to scale and extend over time.

User Experience

Small details create memorable products. Smooth interactions, thoughtful spacing, responsive layouts, and intuitive navigation often have a bigger impact than adding another feature. I enjoy refining interfaces until they feel natural to use.

Authentication & Security

Building NOLIN taught me that authentication is more than a login page. I enjoy designing secure role-based systems where customers, vendors, and administrators each have clearly defined permissions backed by Firebase Authentication and Firestore Security Rules.

Real-Time Applications

I'm fascinated by applications that update instantly without requiring users to refresh the page. Working with Firebase helped me understand how real-time databases can improve collaboration, ordering systems, notifications, and overall user experience.

AI Integration

I see AI as a feature, not the product itself. My focus is on integrating AI where it genuinely improves workflows—whether that's analyzing resumes, extracting technical skills, generating recommendations, or automating repetitive tasks while keeping the experience reliable and practical.

Continuous Learning

Every project teaches me something new. From APIs and databases to deployment, authentication, and frontend architecture, I enjoy learning by building real products. I'm constantly experimenting, improving my workflow, and refining how I approach software engineering.
